A very deep, slow style of massage designed to work specifically on the deeper tissue layers, breaking down scar tissue and releasing long-held chronic tension.

The treatment usually begins with a lighter warm up massage for the muscles, followed by typically deep, very slow stripping techniques with the therapist's elbows, forearms and fists.

The client may experience some delayed-onset muscle soreness after this style of treatment, therefore communication with your therapist in regards to the pressure and pain level is extremely important.
